In “What Has Been Is Written in My Flesh”, there is indeed a person on stage, but they are not the protagonist. They are in the Room. In an ordinary apartment building. In fact, there is only one important character on stage — the Room itself. The person is at the mercy of the Room, and the Room has a will of its own and the power to dictate the course of events.
